Every guest of the Villa Fani will at some point look for relaxation whether by taking the sun or by hiding in the shade, but nonetheless on the beach.
Okrug Gornji
If looking for the beach that is close enough so that you can reach it in five minutes on foot, just the one is located near the Rozac Camp – it is a public beach, but you can as well stop at the near-by ‘skrape’, that is a type of rocks that can serve as a beach if you prefer privacy.
"Kilometarska plaza" (or ‘the kilometers-long beach’) in Okrug Gornji is situated for about ten minutes if you go on foot, and there you can experience a whole-day entertainment programme – down the beach there are many bars, actually day clubs in which urban music is played all along and where you can sip your coffee or cocktail.
A bit further, but in the same direction, the road will take you on popular bathing spot known as Businci, which is situated on the eastern side of the island and where you need some kind of vehicle (a car, a motorbike or a bicycle) in order to reach it. Still, this should not prevent you from visiting it considering the length of the beach, the clarity of the sea the possibility of distancing from a mass of bathers. It is important to point out that there are guidelines with the beaches’ names that make it easier for you to find them, in case you are here for the first time.
On the same side of the island, a bit more towards the north, there is a series of beaches in a district called Mavarčica, that can also be reached only by a vehicle and where the choice of an ideal beach will come down to a several ones, well hidden and almost private, that is to say – yours.
Okrug Donji
On the way to Okrug Donji there is a well known bathing spot Duga – here you can find a restaurant and a camp, and it is also situated on the eastern side of the island. At the very cape of Okrug Donji there is a famous bathing spot Kava, named after kava that is a stone-pit which is located above the beach, and where you would also need a vehicle if you want to reach it and where yet you are free to explore where exactly you would like to settle – under the wooden mole or somewhat further on small beaches on which you can have the experience of private area, just the one nature has arranged.
Arbanija
Yet if you decide to have a bath in the sea on the northern side of the island, that is to say on the side that looks towards the town, then your destination point will be a place called Arbanija with the beach known as Sveti Križ (Holy Cross), where you will also be able to have a meal on the beach restaurant. But if you decide to proceed, on almost every meter you can find either bigger or smaller beaches which might appeal to you.
Slatine
If you choose to go on the very cape of Slatine, just like in the case with Okrug Donji, you will come to the beach also called Kava, named after kava or stone-pit located above the beach. From that beach you can see in the direction of Split, and if you want to visit it briefly you can take a taxi powerboat and reach Split in less than five minutes.
Pantana
If, on the other hand, Čiovo looks like an island where you cannot seem to find an ideal beach, on your way out of town you will choose where to start off. If you choice falls on the southern way out of town, you will find Pantana, the bathing spot of Trogir’s older residents, which is even nowadays visited by its faithful bathers in somewhat more unusual sea atmosphere – in which there is a mixture of creek and sea water.
Seget Donji
Yet if you choose to take the road towards the west you will end up in Medena, a famous bathing spot visited by a huge number of people and which lacks not in entertainment section – from the restaurants all the way to driving on jet skis, powerboats or marine parachutes.
In any case, wherever you decide to lay down your beach towel – you will not regret. And maybe at the end you might discover a certain beach which remained hidden even to the local people.
